Fun, fun, fun. Play week was right up my alley. There were lots of fun things to explore... so I did. I think this site is probably more for personal use although some of the image creating apps you could use in a school.
ONLINE IMAGE GENERATOR
One area I investigated was Letterjames http://www.letterjames.com/ which allows you to personalize photos and send e-cards to family and friends. I enjoyed this site and had a lot of fun sending e-cards to several friends. I even sent one to myself… it was a message written in the sand. Check it out!
I also had a look around in FD Toys and liked some of the great ideas there like turning your personal photos into jigsaw puzzles.I went into Generator Blog but didn’t like too much within that site and didn’t think I would use them.
LIBRARYTHING
Although I did experiment a little with LibraryThing and catalogued a few of my favourite books, I really preferred Shelfari which I discovered. It does a similar thing but I found it easier to use and I liked the way you placed all your books on a gorgeous bookshelf (covers facing out) and you could rank your favourites, those you have read, are still reading or want to read in the future, even books you have loaned to friends. You can write reviews, tags and so much more. I’ve already had people with feedback on some of the books on my shelf. It’s a good organisational tool and it’s definitely something I will continue to update. It’s also good for book clubs.
